Her impressive resume doesn’t mention this, but Laura Stocker’s obsession with all things Superman is nearly as legendary as the Big Guy himself. What most people don’t know about Laura is just how hard she works to emulate the Man of Steel.
Laura spent more than 10 years managing public relations and destination marketing for Hersheypark and ZooAmerica, before focusing her attention on helping business and industry navigate the World Wide Web. A certified B2B eCommerce professional and a member of Who’s Who in Information Technology, Laura has spent the last 10 years supervising the development of Websites and multimedia projects for companies as diverse as Tony Award Productions, Arkema, Bell & Evans, Westinghouse and Taminco.
Laura has presented programs and workshops as far away as Amsterdam and Paris and as local as the Pennsylvania Association of Municipalities and the Pennsylvania Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus. Her areas of expertise include search engine optimization, non-profit marketing, social networking, crisis communications and tourism marketing.
Like her comic book idol, Laura’s Super Strength is her heart. When she’s not saving the corporate world, she’s busy saving the rest of us. In her spare time she serves on the board of directors for the Sexual Assault Resource & Counseling Center and fund-raises for the American Cancer Society through participation in Relay for Life. She recently co-founded the Holding Hope Foundation, dedicated to funding research for the elimination of childhood cancers.
